Sky Sport Breakers Awards Night NBL21

It has been a season like no other, and on Thursday 3 June we recognised those members of the team who went above and beyond in making us #UNBREAKABLE.

1. Fans Choice MVP - Tai Webster
   

   In a crazy season, one man has managed to keep up the good vibes for Breaker Nation both across the ditch and back in Aotearoa with his on-court and off-court antics.

2. Defensive Player of the Year - Tom Abercrombie
   

   Although his season has been stopped short, our Captain has shown why he's still one of the best players in the NBL, guarding some of the youngest and fastest players in the league, showing that being a 350+ game veteran is no obstacle.

3. Blackwell Community Cup - Peter Thompson Trust
   

   Thanks to the Peter Thompson Trust thousands of kiwi families were able to come to our sell-out games across the country, inspiring the next generation of ballers.

4. MVP - Finn Delany
   

   A career season for the man from Nelson, he's averaged over 30 minutes per game in 34 appearances, and hasn't slowed down since game one. His off-season work has proved worth it as he's been nominated as a finalist in the Most Improved Player category in the NBL end of season awards.

5. Brian Pankhurst Cup / Clubman Award - DJ
   

   Matt Walsh and Kerry Pankhurst awarded the Brian Pankhurst Clubman of the Year award to DJ, the youngest ever winner of a Breakers award! The Brian Pankhurst Cup is awarded every year to someone who goes above and beyond to embody what it means to be #UNBREAKABLE.

6. Memorable Moment - Tom Abercrombie's Buzzer Beater
   

   What else other than Tom's buzzer beater against the Cairns Taipans in the NBL Cup! His last minute fadeaway three to take the win, showed that the captain's still got his deadeye accuracy after all these years.
