The New Zealand born big man comes from a strong sporting background and is now making his own name for himself in basketball entering a second season in the NBL at the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

Was a development player with the Phoenix in NBL23 and hit the floor on five occasions, but it was being in the professional environment for the first time that enhanced his development as he continued to grow as a player already with great tools standing 6'10.

The 20-year-old is a descendant of one of the founding fathers of New Zealand rugby, Thomas Ellison, while also being related to both Tamati and Riki Ellison, so sport is in his blood but he's looking to create his own legacy.

Coming out of Auckland Grammar School, earned a scholarship to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he spent two seasons before returning home to play at the Franklin Bulls in the NZ NBL, and then to join the Phoenix in the NBL for the 2022/23 season for the first time.
