There is a big question around the confirmation of Green MP Chloe Swarbrick's inclusion in the Manuka Doctor Celeb Slam.
Will she be on the opposing side to ACT leader David Seymour or will she be forced to work "in a coalition" alongside him on the same team?
The answer to that question will not be known until the draft next month but already, there is a lot of speculation on the make-up of the two celebrity teams.
What is known is one team will be lead by Breakers Captain Tom Abercrombie, who selected Warriors Captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck as his first draft pick last week.
The other team will be captained by Breakers Star Finn Delany, who has heavyweight boxer Junior Fa confirmed in his corner.
Scheduled for November 26 at Spark Arena, the Manuka Doctor All Star Celeb Slam will feature sporting and media personalities, playing alongside Breakers stars in mixed teams.
Net proceeds raised will go to Starship Foundation with general admission tickets on sale at Ticketmaster from today.
Swarbrick joins World Cup winning All Black Liam Messam, Mai FM Breakfast host Jordan River, former Silver Fern turned broadcaster Jenny-May Clarkson, and UFC Stars Shane Young and Brad Riddell in the latest names announced this morning.
Other stars still to be drafted include UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya, Silver Fern superstar Irene Van Dyk, double Olympic gold medallist Eric Murray, Winter Olympic bronze medallist Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, legendary racing driver Greg Murphy, Black Fern Ruby Tui, and former All Blacks wizard Carlos Spencer.
All the stars take to the court alongside Abercrombie, Delany and fellow Breakers stars Corey Webster, Rob Loe, Tai Webster, and Jarrad Weeks.
The Breakers will reveal more names in the coming weeks, plus details on how two lucky fans attending the game can win a chance to play.
It is the first time an entertainment basketball event of this kind has happened in New Zealand.
The Manuka Doctor All-Star Celeb Slam takes place just under two months before the Breakers NBL21 campaign tips off in January.
Australian critics are already predicting the Breakers will reach the championship final following shrewd recruitment in the off-season.
Former Atlanta Hawk and two-time NBL All-Star Lamar Patterson, and standout Tall Blacks Point Guard Tai Webster have signed with the Breakers.
Australians are also concerned because Head Coach Dan Shamir has retained the core of last season's side, which was statistically the best in the league in the second half of last season.
The Breakers went on an incredible 10-4 run, capturing the public's imagination on the way, with gameday attendance at Spark Arena up an astonishing 37 percent.
