Two seasons on from the announcement of their landmark partnership, the BNZ Breakers and Everest Infrastructure Partners have built an impressive foundation for shared growth.
The collaboration, which brought Everest’s logo to the back of the Breakers jersey, has not only elevated both brands but also highlighted their shared values and commitment to excellence.
Everest, with a global asset portfolio exceeding NZD $3 billion and operations across four countries, is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing cell tower operators.
Since establishing its New Zealand office, Everest Infrastructure Partners has continued its impressive growth in the telecommunications sector.
In just two years, Everest has rapidly expanded its footprint, emerging as a key enabler of New Zealand’s telecommunications infrastructure.
Through strategic partnerships with property owners, Everest secures land, ground leases, and rooftop transmitter sites to support leading wireless providers such as 2Degrees, Spark, One New Zealand, and the country’s three major cell tower companies: Connexa, FortySouth, and the Rural Connectivity Group.
“We are immensely proud of the partnerships we’ve built across New Zealand,” said Marcus Gyles, New Zealand Director at Everest.
“These collaborations have been pivotal to our ongoing success, enabling us to deploy capital efficiently while helping our stakeholders achieve their goals. We are fortunate to operate in a market where our contributions create value for all parties involved.”
For Everest, the relationship with the BNZ Breakers has provided a valuable platform to reinforce its brand presence in New Zealand and connect with diverse audiences.
“Our partnership with the Breakers has been a natural fit from the beginning,” said Everest ANZ CEO William Heapy.
“Their values of honesty, transparency, and trust align perfectly with ours. Seeing our brand represented on their jerseys has been incredibly rewarding.”
The partnership between Everest and the Breakers extends far beyond branding and sponsorship. Everest’s commitment to enabling communication and connectivity aligns seamlessly with the Breakers’ mission of uniting communities through sport.
“It’s partnerships like these that fuel our ability to perform at the highest level,” BNZ Breakers chief executive Lisa Edser said.
“Everest’s support has been instrumental not only for our team but also for our broader mission of inspiring and connecting people through basketball. Together, we’ve created something that goes beyond the game and touches lives in a meaningful way.”
